Which grade should you be running?
The right answer depends on what you grind, not on what we would rather cast.
High-manganese grades work-harden under impact and hold up where lumps are hard and the loading is uneven.
High-chromium cast iron and Ni-Hard usually win on quartz, high-silica limestone, clinker and slag.
A composite or hardfaced part, with the overlay planned into the maintenance cycle rather than treated as a repair.
We will recommend against our own margin when it is the right call. If a cheaper grade will last you as long, we will say so — a part that comes back too early costs us the account.
