The usual starting point for abrasive, finer feed — limestone, clinker, slag and quartz-bearing rock. Good wear resistance with predictable behaviour.

Grinding Roller Tyre
The replaceable wear shell that carries the grinding pressure on a vertical roller mill. Supplied as a one-piece casting to your own profile, or as hardfacing build-up on the tyre you already have.

A field marked CONFIRM AGAINST DRAWING is not a gap in our data. It is a dimension that has to match your machine, so we confirm it with you rather than publish a number that may not be yours.

Service life on a tyre is dominated by the grade of the casting, and the right grade depends on what you actually grind.
Ni-Hard
For severe abrasion
Specified where a high-chromium tyre is spalling or where abrasion is severe with moderate impact. Usually the next step up in cost and in life.
Hardfacing overlay (CCO)
Chromium carbide on a cast base
For highly abrasive duty, and for planned maintenance cycles. The overlay is renewed on a schedule instead of the whole tyre being replaced.
Build-up on your own tyre
Repair as a planned cycle
We re-profile and hardface a tyre you already own. Often the cheapest hour of service available — when the base metal is sound and the wear is even.
